Le Prix Christophe Mérieux 2023 de la Fondation Christophe et Rodolphe Mérieux Institut de France, doté d'un montant de 500 000 €, est remis à ABDOULAYE DJIMDÉ.

Abdoulaye Djimdé est Professeur de Parasitologie et de Mycologie au Centre de Recherche et de Formation sur le Paludisme (MRTC) de l’Université des Sciences, Techniques et des Technologies de Bamako, au Mali. Son programme de recherche utilise des approches moléculaires et génomiques pour lutter contre le paludisme. 

Successful First inclusion of Kalumi study

On March 09, 2021, the WANECAM 2 research team in Bougoula Hameau, Sikasso proceeded to the inclusion of the first patient in the KALUMI protocol.

Upon the patient’s arrival, a consent and a pre-selection assent was carried out. After the signature of the informed consent document, a thick blood was carried out to determine the parasitemia of inclusion.

After verifying compliance with all the inclusion criteria, the patient was randomized to the treatment regimen through the «Cenduit Solution» platform.

Awarding of the «Macky SALL Prize for Research», by CAMES to the «Thematic Research Programme - Health» (Ptrsanté), for its unifying project entitled «Atrican Lffe Story Of COVID-19 (Also-COVID19)» on June 26th, 2020

Context:

The world is currently experiencing an outbreak due to the new and mysterious SARS-Cov-2. There is not enough documented information regarding its source and transmission dynamics in different environments as well as drugs for its prevention and cure.

Tribute to Professor Ogobara Doumbo

Tuesday, June 9, 2020, was organized the 2nd anniversary of the death of our late Professor Ogobara Doumbo. We paid him a tribute that at the level to his international reputation.

Context :

As part of the ceremonies commemorating the disappearance of our late Professor Ogobara Doumbo on June 9, 2018 in Marseille, France, we paid tribute to this illustrious scientist by hosting a symposium on Mycology. Given the international health context marked by coronavirus disease, this tribute was made through Zoom.
